This is a bolt on set with thin wall cylinders and is therefore not recommended for high compression or turbo installations and is more suited to lighter VWs such as sand rails, buggies and beetles rather than buses. The set is designed to bolt onto a standard 1300-1600cc Type-1 engine case with the standard 69mm crankshaft. Installing this set will increase displacement to 1679cc without the need to machine either the crankcase or standard 1600cc cylinder heads; it is a direct bolt-on upgrade.
